This month I was lucky enough to be sent to Europe for a conference. The destination was Rome, and though it would have been lovely to have my husband with me, there was no way to make that happen for us. It was a good trip, and so very different to everything else I've ever done with a holiday. It was very emotional, and the time spent with SMS was a fun oasis in the middle.
Pity I had to fly with an alternate airline... All those miles and it added practically nothing to my FF points :(.

There are parts of the Belgian and French countryside which are heavily fertilised with Australian blood. 46000 died in this part of the war. The gratitude of the people of those towns is still strong today.
