i can't believe how good you are at drawing. you really are one of my favorite artists here on lj... do you have any general advice on good ways to improve as an artist, or something?

thanks! we have a book called 'turtles' or something similarly original, and the box turtle on the cover looks remarkably like our three-toed 'speckles', so i couldn't resist. she likes to eat worms and tomatoes.

hello. i like this turtle.
also, you left a note in my journal a very long time ago (4 years!) & i never noticed it until tonight. i was just browsing through old things & there you were. so i felt guilty for never saying anything back. you left a very nice little compliment. so here: thank you for saying you liked my words; i'm sorry for not thanking you 4 years sooner.

Wow, I sometimes forget how long I've had this journal.

Thanks for replying and don't feel guilty. I'm guilty of intentionally not replying to comments. It's probably weird of me to say so, but these random little events help me retain my faith in living. Have a nice day (or four more years).
