Well I had an eventful weekend. Had the usual D&D game on Sunday - which was entertaining as always. But the big thing was I actually went out on Saturday night. So I start up my computer which I would like to point out was functioning just fine yesterday eve.. and it's in 640x430 8bit color.. wtf?! Cut to a hour of finagling, reinstalling drivers, banging my head on the desk, and I've finally managed to convince it that it can do better. Having a moment of fabulous
OK so there I was in Walmart looking for a particular toy.. I collect toys. Didn't find it. I did however find a very nice exclusive to Walmart Scout Walker. Gave it the once over and decided I wanted it. Very nicely detailed, big improvement over the original one which I also have. So that makes me fairly happy ( Read more... ) -

Another arbitrary date
Well 2009 is now behind us. I for one am glad and hoped it died screaming. I'd have liked it to take certain individuals with it but I digress. And now we sit in a nice new year. The Persistance of Memory or Lack Thereof
So there I was watching Gangs of New York the other night and the ending got me thinking. Basically the movie is about Civil War era NYC and the gangs that pretty much ran it.
