While Australia fries...
Speaking for myself, we are pathetic in the South-East of England when coping with the first fall of snow of the season, or any snowfall for that matter. The place slides to a halt, the country loses billions in lost man hours and trade. Apart from baking bread, (it's cooking now) I'm going to put the housework on hold this weekend in order to concentrate on writing the next chapter of my novel. Yes, really. Reflections...
I can't believe another year has gone and another birthday. This year, thankfully has not been a very traumatic one for me, so things are looking better on that front, although the day job could be better. I've even started writing again. It's 9 pm and I had completely lost track of time. It's almost too late to cook my evening meal. It's amazing what writing does to stave off hunger. I haven't even been snacking. A year ago, I applied to be an Indian Restaurant Reviewer. They liked the example of my work (an article on a homeless man) and they accepted my application. I’ve had a really enjoyable week marred only a couple of times when I’ve been frustrated by extremely shoddy customer service. I won’t comment on the customer service yet as the saga is on-going and I’m giving the company the benefit of the doubt, for now. Christmas Cards, ironing or surfing?
