My endo is 95% certain I don't have cancer.  Not the most reassuring diagnosis, but better than "get in here and we're ripping it out"...so...not dreadful.  I do have Graves Disease.  (linked for the curious ( Read more... )

Thank you for the update. I am glad to read you are getting help and seeking other solutions. I'm glad you didn't take the over medicating solution. I wish things were different for you.

So happy you don't have cancer. My mom has had benign breast lumps a few times. When I read this I remember how wonderful you were in 1995 when Algo freaked me out with a diagnosis. Hearing it is benign is a bit like being given a back-handed compliment. However I was relieved to read that.

Sounds like you have a good doctor who is willing to help get you healthy and looking after you.

I can only hope that Paul does get help for his shoulder soon. Crossing my fingers there. My mouth flinched at his dental issues. Bigs hugs to both of you there.

Work - we've talked about this. I like your solutions and approach. It can be difficult and a little surreal however it's good to always be vigilant.

Very sorry about your bro and his family's behaviour. His loss and I know that doesn't make it easier.

Much love and hugs.

Hey, now --- DO NOT go beating yourself up for taking shelter when the world is raining crap on you! That is not being a bad friend, it is being RATIONAL! Take the time to take care of yourself, we'll still love you when you are ready to face the world again. In the meantime, *Hugs*, and if you need someone to talk to, feel free to drop me a line.

Do you just sit back and look at that IMPOSSIBLE list of shit you've been dealt and just laugh? You must be close to having no fucks left to give. This is all too much.

Pretty much. At this point, I'm giving pretty much everything the finger. I'm done like shoe-leather steak.

You obviously need more sauce. And by sauce I mean booze.

Glad you don't have cancer - either kind. I have about half a functioning thyroid and it is enlarged. I also have lumpy breasts. Both were quite scary when first noticed, until I got a diagnosis. The job sounds truly horrible; keeping in touch with your union and otherwise disengaging except to do the job you are officially paid to do is probably a good strategy for now. Keep after Paul about the shoulder and dental care - guys can be really dumb about follow-up and self care. Family and house troubles seem relatively minor in the big scheme - I'm sure you and your brother will reach an accommodation at some point. In the meantime, I think your sister is lovely and I hope you have a great holiday together.

Hugs and much love to you!

Thanks for the update love. Yay for not having cancer!

I've been worried about you, but too deep in my own stuff to be of any help to anyone but my children right now. But if you ever want to get together to just go out for dinner, have some giggles and enjoy each other's company, I am up for that.
