BewitchedThe time before the witches were hunted, they flew above the radar with much more ease. Nearly every village had at least one home set slightly deeper in the woods than the rest inhabited by a lone woman. EEEEEE! Henry got what he deserved! I'm so glad you interpreted this prompt along such female-empowered lines! I wonder what we would have seen in the way of variety back when we had a couple hundred writers! Especially from the men! Great job here. Puns and innuendos galore and extra props for a mandrake root!

I deleted my comment in order to gather my thoughts and think how to come across perhaps less offensive than I originally had. I instantly regretted it. But still--I am so thankful that you pointed out the importance of female empowerment in female writers interpreting this topic. I still stand with my high fives, and that this was really fun to write. I think what bothered me about my first response was saying that it would have been glorious to see male writers on this topic--because I was wrong in implying that it would have been fun to see them struggle with a topic like this. I truly do think it would have been an extremely interesting topic to read from male voices. I am learning a bit about myself here and my ability to interpret from all viewpoints rather than just mine. Thanks for helping to validate my own interpretation too :)

"his entire package was sucked entirely inside of himself, leaving behind only a wilted mass of very sad hair. He could swear he heard it screaming" such great imagery! A fantastic tale!

Ouch! Can't help feeling sorry for him. Though, even a fool knows you don't rape witches.

I made him as detestable as I could because I felt a bit sorry writing it!

You don't rape anybody, man.

Personally, I think this character was let off easy.

"his glorious staff of masculine prowess" sounds like a euphemism from a terrible purple bodice-ripper, but in context it's PERFECT. it sounds like the exact phrasing henry would use about himself. and the wilted mass of very sad hair...! hee. i enjoyed this, maybe you can tell. :D henry is horrible beyond words, and mara's revenge on him is fabulous.
