This story has swallowed up my time for the last month but it's finally finished so I can start posting it.

This story started from the thought 'What if Lee had left the fleet and settled on New Caprica?'. It's really his story, although Kara has a large role as well.

It goes AU from the point of Baltar winning the election in LDYB2, and is a Lee /

I have been reading this over at Fanfiction.net and had to tell you how much I am loving it!!! Personally, I would have much rather seen Lee stuck on NC than Kara, anyway, and you are fulfilling my dream wonderfully! I love how you characterize Lee here--very much how I would imagine him to be on the show. How I wish the writers would have gone your route. I am anxiously awaiting the next part! Excellent job!

Thanks for taking the time to let me know you're enjoying the story, it's very encouraging.

I wanted to write about New Caprica but do something different, and then I thought 'what if Lee left the fleet and moved to the planet?' because I've sometimes got the impression on the show that he's not totally happy in the fleet. And then the rest of story sprang into my head from there.

I'm glad you like Lee's characterisation as he's my favourite character to write.

I'm glad you're posting this here too. I'm finding more and more than I'm not spending much time at ff.net - I don't check every day and so I miss updates otherwise. :)

Hope you enjoy it. This story is angst to the max, but it does work out eventually. Once I had the idea I just had to write it.
