Chapter Two

The shock was so great that Kara couldn’t speak when he first told her.  Just sat there in numbed silence, staring at him, while Sam rambled on awkwardly about drifting apart and rushing into marriage and not knowing each other well enough…

That last comment finally roused her to speech.

Despite your warning I have to say I don't feel like hugging Kara. She deserves what she gets really ... considering the way she treated Sam (and Lee ...). I feel bad for her but she needed the slap in the face to realize that she and Sam didn't belong together in the first place.

I do feel bad for her having to face Lee and Dee every day on the Pegasus though ... that will be difficult I imagine. And I look forward to how you're going to write it.

Definitely enjoying this story so far ... not that I like to see Kara kicked down (we see enough of that on the show already) but I like that she's getting a dose of realism here and hopefully it will point her in the right direction. :)

You're right of course, she does need a reality check...all this time she's been thinking about how she's prepared to settle for content with Sam and never stopped to think whether he was prepared to do the same.

I still feel sorry for her, though.

I agree with Tracy, I don't feel the need to hug Kara. That &*&%# deserves it all!

Don't apologise, you're entitled to your opinion and I completely understand where you're coming from! I've spent a lot of time looking from Kara's POV writing this so am probably feeling more sympathetic than usual to her at the moment :)

And yeah, this whole chapter is complete set-up. I had to find some way to force Kara and Lee back into each other's company since neither of them were going to go there willingly!

I really liked this part. I do feel bad for Kara, she's between a rock and a hard place, and while it's partially of her own making, everyone deserves some forgiveness. I can't wait to see what happens next.

That's rather how I feel...she has brought a lot of it on herself, but a lot of her decisions have been due to bad things that happened to her in the past.
However, the important thing is what Lee thinks on this issue :)
