Wow--that scene with Lee and Kara was intense. So much emotions bubbling underneath their cool exteriors. This is what I wanted to see on the show--not Kara mouthing off to Lee and then the two of them beating each other to a pulp, but a conversation, no matter how cold. It's a start between these two, but they have a long way to go. You write them so true to the show.

I also have to say that I like Dee here (I've never had a problem with her on the show--I agree, she's just underdeveloped). I like that she had the nerve to stand up to Kara over Lee. She does really love him, but I'm afraid she's going to end up hurt (just like she did Friday night).

I cannot wait to read the next part! Great job!

I'm with you there. I hope they actually have a conversation next episode, rather than just pretending nothing happened!

Awesome chapter S.! I liked interaction between Lee & Kara, and how much emotion was behind their words. I also liked Dee stepping up to the plate to defend her territory. BTW, are we going to get into Lee's head at all? (Though you've made it perfectly clear how he felt).

Almost all the next chapter is from Lee's POV.

Great chapter though, very well written. It was almost painful to read, which is of course a good thing. :)

Ouch. This was painful...but in an excellent way. Very well done from all points of view. I LOVE how Kara notices the difference in Lee...the spark is gone...which is aptly described. And I truly like how you've portrayed Dee in this chapter. Smart but not blatently calculating as I've read in many other fics. I think you've got a great handle on how she's meant to be seen.

Frankly, you're portraying everyone so well in this. I'm loving every word!!
