Chapter Five

Kara spent her first week on Pegasus doing exactly what Lee had asked.  She kept her head down, stayed away from him as much as possible, and conducted herself professionally at all times.

Her reports were presented on time, she never spoke out of turn at meetings.  There were no reports of arguments with pilots or the deck crew.

Well done. The conversations were so real, I felt like I was actually watching this on TV!

So, Lee is softening towards Kara? Somehow, I don't think that will sit too well with Dee. I'm interested to see what happens next.

I think your predictions in that second line are pretty accurate!

I loved how you expressed how much flying means to Kara. It is the only thing she has left for the moment and she tries to do everything to keep at least this little good in her life.

And then where she thought she had lost everything now, Lee begun to crack...I'm curious how he will deal with her now.

Loved Showboat's concern and loyalty to Kara, the two girls got along quite well in TCH and it's nice that this can continue in your story.

I remembered Kara & Showboat getting along in TCH so thought she was the logical character to use here to show Kara's not completely friendless - and open Lee's eyes a bit!

BTW, you are not alone in your request for a Helo and Lee beating up Anders shirtless scene, someone on ffnet wants one too! Definitely a missed opportunity!!

Heh, so I'm not the only one who can't stop thinking about teh pretty :D

More flying sounds awesome, I've just noticed, that you have posted the next chapter already - I'm off and away reading :D

Well, I suppose what I'm trying to sell is the two of them being able to get over their issues and their quarrel and get back together. And that requires that Lee soften towards her and be able to forgive her at some point. Him being able to do that is important later on.

If you're worried he's giving in too easily (which you might in the next chapter), bear with me. It's not going to be that simple. In a way he does forgive her, but in a way he doesn't...if that makes any sense!

Yes, he probably shouldn't forgive Kara, should stay well away from her, but he loves her and people in love aren't that sensible.

But hey, this fic is not going to work for everyone, I knew that when I wrote it!

Oh yes, write something! I'll happily read a 'Lee tells Kara where to go' story :)

I understand why Kara did what she did on New Caprica, but that doesn't stop me from being incredibly angry with her on Lee's behalf. I don't like it when Lee suffers!

That was squeeishly good. :D Even Lee, the king of grudge holding, can't stay mad at her forever. Yay!

Wow. Excellent chapter. Lee was spot on in character...angry and unyeilding followed by the almost unconscious need to give Kara a break.

Loved it.
