I absolutely love how you write these characters.

I absolutely love the banter you write between Lee and Kara--it's very real and very true to the characters. I'm glad that Kara was able to get Lee to join in the card game. My heart broke a little at how alone he must feel.
Then the cliffhnager--OMG! You left it there?!? I CANNOT wait to read chapter 8! Hurry!
GREAT PART!!!!!!!!!

I always feel sorry for Bill when you see how isolated he is by being in command, I'm sure Lee must have experienced it too on Pegasus.

I really loved this chapter, it has everything I love about pilots - the teasing, challenging and a Triad game. I'm such a sucker for Triad stories involving these two :D
And I thought it was very nice of Kara that she tries to integrate Lee in that game and make him relax around his crew.
Lovely lovely chapter!

Maybe it's unlikely Lee would beat Kara, but she got to win the viper race last chapter - it's Lee's turn!

I think it's believable that Lee beats Kara - at least once - he knows her well enough and I think he had time enough to brood over her behaviour, so meanwhile he gets the hints how and when she's bluffing, I think.
And you're right, sometimes he has to win, too - otherwise she becomes too smug ;)
