Thank you, that's reassured me! I'm very fond of this story, but it does have a bit of a soap opera plotline which isn't to everyone's taste.

Yay! I was hoping you'd post this here so I could tell you how much I LOVE this story!!!

I read it at ffnet, but I'm not registered there so I couldn't respond.

This is one of my favorite stories. I usually have a very difficult time understanding Kara (can't write her worth anything), but I could feel her emotions so clearly in this. When she realized that Lee wasn't on the raptor, my stomach dropped as if I were Kara.

Can't wait to reread the rest of this!!!!

Somehow I'm not surprised you like this story, mick. It's all the Adama angst, isn't it? :)

Thanks for your comments about Kara, as writing her is hard work for me sometimes. I used to have a hard time understanding her (and sometimes still do), especially just from what they show us on the show. Luckily there are lots of good Kara fanfic writers out there who seem to 'get' her instinctively and reading their fic helped me to understand her more. Though I think I have a tendency to soften her edges a bit when I write her.

Oooh! During this mid-season hiatus I can't wait to read your pre-season 3 fic! Canon has had some ups and downs and its sometimes more fun to live in our created world--ok, it's a lot more fun. :)

I know what you mean - I've enjoyed season 3 so far but it's been unrelentingly grim at times and it's nice to turn to fic for some light relief!

I like it! I am sooo glad it´s going to have 15 chapters, because I personally hate season 3 Kara/Lee stories that are like in the first chapter they meet, Lee married to Dee,Kara to Sam and by the third one everything is fine and they are together again. Hope you write them more complex that that...

Well, I don't think they're as complex in this as I've written them in later stories, just because I've got a better handle on the characters now from writing them more. I wrote this last summer but didn't have an LJ account then so only posting this here now.

But it definitely takes much longer than 3 chapters to sort them out! They have too many issues and other obstacles to get over. :)
