There's a bit more Kara grief/angst to go, but I promise this story is not just 15 chapters of her grieving (because that would be really dull). The story takes a new direction in chapter 5.

Her best friend?
No. Helo was her best friend. She and Lee had not been best friends. Best friends didn’t spend half their time flirting with each other. Best friends didn’t have jealous arguments about who the other one was frakking. Best friends didn’t call out their best friend’s name when they were in bed with someone else.
For all the non K/L shippers, here is irrefutable evidence. :)

I could feel Kara's grief so well, I had tears in my eyes. I think you've really nailed her feelings for Lee. There's not one-clear cut thing that they are to each other. Poor Kara!
