She hadn’t expected their reunion to be like this.  She’d thought it might be awkward; after all, the last time she’d seen him they’d had a fierce argument about his decision to resign from the fleet.

Wow, where to begin...

I liked getting more info about what happened to Lee, although I'm sure there's alot more. I can't wait to find out what it is.

I like that Kara is so perceptive, and she's able to see that there's something wrong with him. I really enjoyed the conversation between her and Laura, and I love how you convey the friendship between Lee and Laura in this story (it's one of my favorite relationships in the show, and one I hope strongly will be revisited in season 3).

I also loved the little exchange between Kara and Tigh--I can just picture both of their faces when she lets him know she's now XO!

And my heart just breaks for Cally.

My heart breaks for Lee, too. All the angst--you write it so perfectly. You have a wonderful handle on the character. I can see him acting exactly as you've described it. I only hope Kara is able to get through to him.

Another excellent part! I am looking forward to part 5!

I enjoy Lee and Laura's friendship too - one of the things that annoyed me about the second half of series 2 was the way it was just dropped. So I've relieved my feelings by putting a fair bit of Laura and Lee in this story.

I thought the little Kara/Tigh exchange would relieve the angst slightly! Glad you liked it. I could just see Tigh choking on the news she's taken his job.

Kara and Lee know each other so well, I'd thought she'd pick up there was something wrong very quickly.

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about Cally and her baby!

Chapter 5 will be up Tuesday morning.

I love Prez and Kara chatting! We get hardly any of this on the show :( I'm intrigued by Dee...is she as heroic as she appears?

Well I thought that if I was going to kill poor Dee off, I'd at least give her a heroic death!

One of the nice things about writing fanfic is the chance to write scenes with characters who don't get much time together in the show, like Kara and Laura. Lee has a lot of scenes with Laura, Cally and Gaeta in this story.
