Starting Over 35B / 42

Lee walked through the dimly lit rooms of the Prometheus.  A watcher might have thought him to be lost in his own thoughts, but in reality his every sense was on high alert, braced for signs of attack.  He hadn’t made any effort to hide his arrival, and a response would come sooner or later.

Whatever happened though, he was going to get Shevon and ( Read more... )

I love Dr Seton and her way of tackling a very recalcitrant Lee.

Glad you liked that scene, as my knowledge of psychiatrists is largely based on reading fiction about them, so that scene is mostly logical guesswork. And after all the fuss Lee made about seeing the shrink, I felt he'd need to be talked round to seeing that he needed help.

Oh, Zac, you just had to go there. I'm feeling sorry for him in all honesty, because getting caught up in the slip stream of pilots is not the most happy making thing in the universe

No, it's not. Poor Zak, he knows but doesn't want to accept it at the moment, which is a nasty situation to be in.

Before this is over I might have to join helen_c's 'Lock them up and get them drunk' Club, because pilots are probably going to get even more annoying than here:

Yes, they are going to get more annoying, there's one point where I want to throttle them, but that's what you get with pilots unfortunately, emotional screw-ups that they are...

Shevon, Phelan and the incident on Prometheus makes sense here ( ... )

I've always had a very hard time coming to terms with the plot line in general and Lee's part in particular. I just can't wrap my head around his actions in canon, no matter how out of it he might be due to the 'BlackBird' et al.I've always found it hard to get my head round Lee killing Phelan in cold blood. Especially only a few episodes after they had the prospect of murdering Cain obviously deeply upset him, to the point where he loses faith in everyone around him and can't see the point of going on with life. Okay, so maybe in Black Market they were trying to say that Lee's so cynical and depressed that he thinks 'what does it matter if I kill in cold blood, everyone else does' - but the problem is that they don't! The resolution of the Cain plot was that Bill ultimately agreed with Lee that murder wasn't justifiable and backed down, and Lee must know that ( ... )

It was much better just to be alone.
--*sniffs* Poor Lee. *huggles him*

I'm glad things turned out all right, there was no Lee prompting black market men to kill him.

Nice chapter. :)

Thanks for both your comments. I'm glad you liked the part with Zak talking to Lee about Shevon, because I'm quite fond of that scene, I like writing the brothers together.

Fortunately this Lee does not have a death wish - and he has a brother for back-up.

Glad you liked.

Dr. Seton defused the Lee-bomb very well. Heh.

The role-reversal with Kara and Lee (over Shevon) worked very well, I thought. Poor pining Kara.

This chapter (both sections) was so tense; I read it fast, in one sitting, then I had to go back and look at it again to see what I missed.

LOL, what a great description. I love it.

Well, it's her turn to pine after all the pining Lee did earlier on. I couldn't resist using the 'I'm just a CAG' line after realising it would fit in that scene.

Glad you enjoyed.

As well done as usual! I know I say the same things over and over about how much I love the smooth way you weave AU and canon and have it not feel off.

But, I just do love it!

Thanks, I particularly appreciate that comment on this chapter because I did struggle with altering canon and fitting Zak in.

I still hadn't quite got the hang of posting pictures when that scan was done. But I will post one of the actual baby when it arrives, promise! :)
