Chapter Nine

Lee made his way to New Caprica town without any problems.  He’d done the journey so many times in the last nine months that he knew the route blindfold - and knew just how to avoid the Cylon patrols.

The next obstacle was getting into the town itself.

The Cylons had made a few changes to New Caprica town after they occupied it.  They’ ( Read more... )

WOAH! Lee shot Baltar???? Oh I hope he did.

I love the role reversal here. Lee is bitter and vengeful and Kara's the voice of reason.

Great chapter. I can't wait for more.

Just got home and reading the reviews here and on ffnet - everyone seems to be hoping Baltar is dead! Poor guy (well, not really)

Well, only because he gave up Dee. I don't want to see him die on the show.

Woohoo! I loved it. Lee and Felix make a good team. :)

It's times like these that Kara really should know more about Lee than she does - he's not squeamish about killing people if he feels the need.

The only thing I really don't like about this story is how much Lee loves Dee. I just can't buy that on the show, even after people have told me about all the deleted scenes that supposedly lend more credence to his having 'real' feelings for her (instead of just sleeping with her then marrying her for no reason). I detest them as a combination and any time I see them onscreen together I feel like a bucket of cold water has been poured down my back - the relationship is just so not believable.

But hey, it's your story and I'm still hopeful that Lee will realize he's using Dee and pretending he has feelings for her in order to push away his feelings for Kara. (I'm such a hopeless 'shipper that way). :)

Well, he is fairly obsessed with avenging her death, but is it love or is it guilt? After all, he's got that whole 'I let her die in order to save the resistance' guilt complex going on.

Bear with me, this whole issue is going to be addressed in a later chapter.

I'm still hopeful that Lee will realize he's using Dee and pretending he has feelings for her in order to push away his feelings for Kara. (I'm such a hopeless 'shipper that way)

Me too. There is plenty of hopeless L/K shipper stuff coming up, without giving too much away.

Wow--my mouth fell open at this--“Lee, you can’t do this!” Kara sounded desperate now. “You can’t just kill an unarmed man in cold blood-”
“Wouldn’t be the first time,” said Lee, and pulled the trigger.

It's so cold, and something I can see Lee saying and doing. I think he's someone who's very protective of those he loves. I sure hope he got Baltar and Kara didn't pull some move like pushing the man out of the way and getting shot herself!

Loved him daring her to shoot him.

Poor Lee--he really is lost. Once he gets his revenge, then what? I hope Kara will have the strength to help him pick up the pieces.

You are really keeping me on the edge of my seat with this story. It's so good, I wish you could update every hour!!!!

Excellent part--looking forward to chapter 10!

Well, he does shoot that guy in Black Market (can't remember his name) in cold blood - which is what gave me the idea for this.

I sure hope he got Baltar and Kara didn't pull some move like pushing the man out of the way and getting shot herself!

See, nobody loves poor Baltar :-)
He is incredibly smarmy - though he does amuse me on the show, especially the ironic clapping and of course "No more Mr Nice Gaius!" - that cracks me up every time. And he was very cool in Downloaded as the Baltar in Six's head - I absolutely loved that episode (even though Lee wasn't in it!).

No, Lee was quite right in calling her bluff - besides, he's already been shot by Cylons in this story, he doesn't need Kara shooting at him as well. He's got enough trauma to deal with!
