Chapter Forty-One

Zak entered his quarters and sat down on the sofa, closing his eyes with relief. It had been a long day.

I haven't posted for awhile but I just wanted to say this story gets better and better. I can't believe there is only one more chapter and I will have to find something new to obsess over :). Anyway, I just wanted to say I love your writing.

YAY!!! Squeeee and awwwwww not in that particular order but that was what I was screaming all the time while I read this chapter :P
There are so many things I love about this chapter. Zak and Emma *aww* they were so cute. And their relationship is so different from Lee and Kara's they are all sweet and kind of high school couple.
Emma *standing ovation* she simply rocks. love her conversation whit Lee, that was priceless.
Lee shook off his own concerns for a moment. “And you can tell Zak that if he breaks your heart, I’ll kick his ass, little brother or not.”
I loved that phrase, that shows how much Lee appreciates Emma and how much he is a good friend.
And then we have PILOT LOVEEEEE! yay! finally this two opened their eyes, and it was so sweet and way to go Lee!
We’re going to make this work, he vowed fiercely. We are.
this is by far my favorite phrase! you gotta love Lee.
It was such a great chapter *squee* I'll be grinning the entire day!

LOL! The people around you must have wondered what was going on! Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much. :D

I'm glad the contrast came off, they're still in the 'I fancy you' stage rather than in the 'I'm desperately in love with you' stage.

Great to hear, I loved writing that scene with her explaining everything to Lee in words of one syllable. Usually I have to use Helo for that kind of thing.

And considering the pilots only met in chapter 1, it means AU Lee moved faster than canon Lee by about three years (at least). Give him a round of applause!

Ahhh...excellent chapter!! You gotta love the moment Zak gets hit the ton of bricks moment...and kudos to him for waiting less than 24 hours to go grab the girl! *LOL*

And Emma...I fell in love with this character...so I'm really happy it appears she's on the way to a happy ending. And she truly knows just what to say to Lee.

Finally...pilots. Absolutely awesome scene...Lee challenging Kara to give them a chance was perfect. Once he gets it...he goes for it. Seems like a family trait. *grins*

I'm so looking forward to the next chapter!!

Fortunately he's a little faster on the uptake than Lee. :)

And Emma...I fell in love with this character...so I'm really happy it appears she's on the way to a happy ending. And she truly knows just what to say to Lee.

With Emma, I do wonder if this medical guy who asked her on a date actually existed, or whether she made him up to get Zak to think a little, LOL. And glad you liked her sorting out Lee, I had a lot of fun writing that bit.

Hurray, so relieved you liked it. That scene went through six rewrites, I was so worried about getting it right after forty chapters of build-up! And I thought that once he got some reassurance from Emma that Kara did love him (and got over his own commitment issues), he would finally get the confidence to go for it.
