Torchwood series finale

Apr 04, 2008 22:02

Well, that's it for me and Torchwood, I think.  Which is a pity, because I enjoyed the first half of this series a lot.  However after this I don't think I can be bothered to watch any more.

Reason 1: they killed off the only two characters I'm really invested in on the show.  Jack bores me, I hate Gwen and Ianto is amusing but little more.  I won't ( Read more... )

When you said that about waiting for BSG, I feel so sad for you. Two more weeks . . . bummer. Reminds me to put spoilery warnings for all the folks over there.

I had my own private Season 3 DVD catch-up this week to get ready. My hub teases me something fierce about BSG and Apollo, but he's always right there on the sofa when the show comes on.

It is hard having to wait that little extra time - mainly because it's very hard not to get spoiled online. :)
Hope the new episode was good and Lee got some screen time!

I too can't wait for Dr. Who tonight. :) I don't know about Catherine Tate though - I hope her character is less annoying and whiny than in the Christmas special because I detested her there. As for Rose - I didn't mind a wee bit of the romance stuff (very wee) but Martha just bored me to tears after the first episodes. She was very promising in the first ones but once she started the teenage angst 'I love him and he doesn't even notice me' she just became irritating ( ... )

Yes, I haven't been around much recently. I had a nasty cold and Matthew's been teething, and I haven't had much energy in the evenings to do more than watch TV. Things are better now, but I've fallen so far behind with fic and posts (I know I'm chapters behind on yours for example). I'll catch up with it all eventually.

How are you? Hope all is well with you and your family.

Don't know if you've seen the new Doctor Who episode yet, but I thought it was very enjoyable, and Catherine Tate was much more likeable than in the Runaway Bride.

I know the feeling. Life has gone from the usual crazy to downright horrible lately. I had no internet for 4 days (ah!) and then a pipe burst in our bathroom and we're going to have to have the bathroom and kitchen ripped apart and redone. *sigh* I'm waiting for an electrician right now to let us know if our stove needs it's last rites - it had a waterfall pouring down on it the other night and I'm afraid it might just be dead.

I did enjoy Dr Who very much. Catherine Tate didn't impress me in the Christmas special the other year but I liked her here. I'm looking forward to more this week!

Take care and I hope you find more time for you. :)

Oh dear, so sorry to hear you are having so many hassles at the moment. I hope everything gets sorted out soon. I'm having car trouble myself at the moment - sorting that kind of thing out takes up so much time.

Not seen the new DW yet, my husband is abroad, so waiting to watch it till he gets back later this week.

Take care and I return the wish - I hope you can find some time for you this week. :)
