Chapter Fourteen

“Lee?”

Kara looked around the cave, heart thumping, peering into corners, pushing back the curtain around the washing area.

He wasn’t there.

She couldn’t understand it.  Sure, she’d been lost in her thoughts, but not so distracted that he could have walked past without her noticing.

Where the hell had he gone?

“Lee!” she

Maybe they will. Or maybe they will all get shot by the Cylons ;-)

Although if that happens I'll be in big trouble with one of my reviewers at ffnet - she demanded a happy ending to this one after the last story.

I really liked the detail of planning Lee and his obsession with places with more than one way out.

The part about Tyrol and the tracker he put on Cally is a bit creepy :D

Don't know why, but this part made me giggle:
"If anything happens to her, I'm going to kill him."
Kara glared at him. "Well, if anything happens to Lee, I'm going to kill Cally."

Exciting chapter, I'm really intrigued and curious what happens next :D

Oh dear! To be honest, that's in there for practical reasons only. Halfway through writing this chapter, I thought 'Shit! How are they going to find Cally and Lee?' and this was the answer I came up with...probably because I'd just been watching Veronica Mars using trackers..!

I always love Veronica's clever ideas and her knowledge about technical stuff :). She's a bright girl in a witty TV show.

I can imagine that Tyrol loves to experiment with these things and needs someone to test on his new experimental equipment, so despite being slightly creepy, it does make sense for him :)

Great chapter as usual. Had all the elements - excitement, frustration, openness, fear ... and even a touch of humour. :)

I liked Lee's self conversation there about Kara. Finally he's allowing himself to be honest, and that's probably more why he's able to let go of a little of the guilt about Ana's death. Though I'm sure it will haunt him for a long time yet.

Tyrol is a clever one isn't he? Maybe Kara should think about copying him ... Lee could use a tracking device as well in this story. :)

Question is, what is Boomer planning on doing with their baby? I guess I'll have to wait and find out. :D

Yes, she does spend a fair bit of time running around after him!
At least there's a tracking device this time, I was very relieved that no-one questioned when Lee went off to kill Baltar how a) Kara managed to get into the town and b) how she tracked Lee down in the town because I don't know! She just did :-)

Annoyingly, I just spotted a plot hole in this chapter too - why didn't Lee just get Gaeta to break into the prison's computer system to find the records? Oh well, no-one seems to have noticed.

That was a twist I wasn't expecting. For some reason I don't like this Cally, I know what she has gone through has made her this hard, but I can't help but prefer the sweet ZCally of the series :) I will be eagerly anticipating the next chapter.

Cally is quite different in this...maybe if she gets her baby back..

Now there's a surprising ending! I honestly can say that I never saw that coming (Boomer having Cally's baby, I mean).

I really liked the interaction between Kara and Tyrol--they both have a common goal: get the two people they love most home safely.

I also like Lee and Cally together working for their common goal--to get Cally's baby. Hopefully Boomer has been taking good care of her, or else!!!

I'm glad to see Lee acting more like himself and realizing that his walls are starting to crack. I just hope they are all able to make it off the planet safely and are able to overcome all that has happened to them.

Excellent job--I cannot wait to see how all this plays out!!!

Glad you liked the twist about Boomer - I admit I mainly put it in because I wanted to write a confrontation between her and Cally. Also I thought it would make sense she would be interested in the Chief's baby.

The old Lee is definitely on his way back after last chapter's emotional breakdown.
