Wow, what a whirlwind stop-at-home trip by Kevin. I don't know who actually reads their LJ friends page, but I thought I would give a mini update. I am working two part-time jobs now: YMCA and Borders. I work in the cafe making coffee at Borders and I hope after Christmas I will learn (wow, I just typed "lurn"-- I need sleep) how to work as a book seller which means that I get to help people find ( Read more... )

So the new thing project got tanked this week. WIth starting a second job at Borders I wanted that free time to spend with friends or family. It was fun while it lasted and in the near future, I'll definately do it again. I was watching disc 1 of "My So Called Life" and thinking about how I was in middle school. I was Angela in 8th grade. Kevin left for the Gulf of Mexico for a longer job. It will probabley be a 45 day gig. This is his first long job this year and it's good that he has at least one this year to make up for all the time off he took for Europe. Sorry everyone for being such a flake this month. It seems I can't remember when I say I'm going to do things and when I do remember-- I just would rather stay home and read a book and take a hot bath. That was so nice to type! I had my first day at work at the YMCA. I got a tour, cleaned my soon-to-be workstation, met everyone, signed paperwork, etc. I was only there for a few hours but I enjoyed myself. I feel so wonderful about this.
