Harvey/Mikey Domestic abuse [warning] c8h7n3o2 July 22 2011, 12:51:20 UTC
Mikey has been working at PH for just about a year and lately Harvey has started to notice Mikey flinching away from touch.. And just being overall jumpy. Is that a limp in his step?

Basically Mikey has this new bf [few weeks maybe?] who oddly enough reminds him a lot of Harvey (looks, style, what have you) but one big difference.. This guy beats the sh!t out of him every chance he gets.

Harvey figures it out - goes all protective made - something happens to the bf (Harvey gets him arrested, has people on the inside - author's choice) and he gets a taste of his own med when guards look the other way..

Mikey breaks and tells Harvey the entire painful truth. He promises to protect him from then on. Mikey has always loved Harvey and now Harvey admits it too.

A very whump tastic h/c dark!fic - descriptive/detailed - angsty personality for Mikey.

Rated up to a strong R but not nc17 unless you wanna include mention of non-con/rape.

FILL: Consequential Damages (1/?) - [WARNINGS: domestic abuse, non-con] iscaris July 26 2011, 10:01:49 UTC
LJ downtime is good for something -- getting fic written :D

Warnings for domestic abuse/violence and non-explicit non-con.

Consequential Damages

His name is Simon Lloyd and Mike meets him in the same manner as he did Harvey-in a hotel, completely by accident. It’s the same kind of hotel, too, the kind that Mike will never choose to go to unless he has business there-like a suitcase full of weed, in the first instance, and Mike can still remember the quiet inflection of surprise in Harvey’s voice when the suitcase burst open and bags of weed fell onto the floor.

This time Mike lingers after an especially tough meeting involving their client, his opponent, and their legal counsel in one of the ridiculously lavish hotel conference rooms. Settlement is definitely the way to go here, but everyone is angling and trying to bluff and the meeting ended in the sort of impasse that Mike knows really pisses Harvey off, even though the other man never shows it. Mike still hasn’t really learned to read people, but he’s made good ( ... )

“I’m really sorry, it’s totally my fault,” Mike says again, flailing his hands and feeling like the complete idiot he is because what kind of guy uses totally in a sentence to a complete stranger in a really expensive suit after splashing him with his own drink? Mike grabs a few napkins from the counter and holds them out lamely. “Here, please, uh-” the guy doesn’t take them and Mike feels stupider than ever, “-guess these aren’t going to help much?”

“I doubt it,” the guy finally speaks.

The calm, measured cadence in his voice is starkly familiar, and Mike realizes it’s the same tone he hears whenever he barges in on Harvey on the phone with one of his more demanding clients. The guy glances down at his ruined suit, and then looks up at Mike again.

“Fortunately this is one of my last off-the-rack Armanis,” he says dismissively, “I’ve been looking for a reason to get rid of it.”

Oh. Mike blinks again. Thankfully he didn’t do something dumb like offer to replace the suit or something like that. He chews on his lower lip ( ... )

Oh, Mike. I know your Grandmother had the stranger danger talk with you. What are you doing?

I believe Simon's a smooth anti-Harvey though, so I can understand getting sucked under by his charisma. Great start! I waffled on starting this one because I don't tend to read the domestic violence fills, but I accidentally started to in the email notification so I said I'd try what was out. I'm confident with your writing you will be able to get me to believe a positive resolution.

I cannot wait for more. This is looking to be epically awesome. :D

...is it wrong that I'm so excited for a domestic abuse fic?

...probably.

But I still want it!

That last line is gold- "and behind his closed lids he thinks, he thinks of Harvey". Nice.
