Westside

Cleveland trip was great:

A Wedding reception.

A short drive through the town in which I grew up-- Geneva, Ohio.

And a morning trip to the Westside Market.  If you are in the area, I suggest a trip to the Westside market.  woddly_spinning and I bought: plums, apples, a Scottish meat pie, a kinder suprise egg, a piece of sweet potato pie, a guiness

Surreal. Did you drive by our house in Roxbury? I haven't seen it in 4 years. I think Mom & Dad moved to Walnut Creek for years ago in October.

I, too, have many memories of the Westside Market. Especially the fish market, where the parents would buy catfish to make sa'idayah. When I was in Cleveland two three weeks ago, I also drove by the Market, but didn't have time to go in. I went to Lucky's coffee shop in Tremont, and a boutique w/ clothing and house wares. I have posted an album of Cleveland photos on my Facebook. Hot Sauce Williams, CWRU, etc.

Guiness chocolate cake...how was that??

fish market was half the original size--the other half became a falafel/kebab joint.

we did drive by roxbury. it looks exactly the same.

the cake was great-- not too sweet.
