I NEED to re-charge. I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I NEED something to restimulate my mediocre life. I used to be GOOD at what I did...used to have PASSION for my job. I don't have that anymore and don't know how to get back to the glory days of the past. Something new and exciting needs to happen.

Today, I got an e-mail from a minister friend I lost touch with four years ago--Rev. Al. Apparently, my picture made it to the statewide calendar again (I have no idea how, since I rarely attended temple during the past academic year) so he saw it and thought of me. So tonight, I decide to stay at the office late to work (one of the students in the office was also there), and the fire alarm goes off. Ya think it was a subtle signal that I should NOT stay in the office past 5pm???

VACATION!!! Only about a month and a half and I will be sittin' by Hilo Bay enjoying a cocktail or two (or maybe on a photog expedition). Anyone back home want to join me???

This weekend was an amazing end to a hectic week of a challenging but exciting theory paper that was due on Thursday. Though because of it, this entry will be short so I can work on the stuff I need to do, it was worth it. I realized this weekend how close I've become to my co-hort and how much I truly value them.
