This place has been pretty dead the last couple of weeks, so I thought I’d liven things up with a little game of what if: What do you think happened to our favorite carnies in the future where the Shanti virus was released? But where and for how long? I just get this horrible image of them being separated and those like Edgar being sent back to the country of their origin. Or of Joseph dying (this time naturally) and Samuel doing something horrible to keep the government out of their hair. Or would they take the opportunity to establish what could be considered their own country in a no-man's land hit by the virus? Or would several of the carnies be so desperate that they left the carnival and turned to the government?

Do you think anyone has written fanfic about this time with these characters?

I don't see any of that group trusting the government. It's possible some would get separated. And yeah, Samuel would likely do something terrible for defense. As for fic, I reckon this comm is the best place to seek it.

I don't know if you know this or not. But I was at the NBC Store saw this and thought of you.

Claude has two action figures and one is among the clearance items they have up. The Clearance Sylar was pretty poorly done but I think Claude's were pretty well executed considering the price. Inviso!Claude is 20 bucks and the other is cheaper. Out of all of the ones I saw, Claude's Linderman's and Mohinder's seemed best to me...in that order because I liked the things they included with Claude as well. Linderman only has the stupid plant. Anyway Links...

I think even without the Shanti Virus they still have a high chance of getting quarantined or separated by the gov't in the regular canon...So just think if you added virus outbreak chaos to it. It would be a nightmare...anyone resistant would probably get carted up and experimented on. And anyone smart would have to go into hiding until the virus was taken care of at the least. Out of the Carnie's I can't decide who would make it. It attacks the nervous system so only people like Claire or someone who's power has the secondary benefit of giving them a strong or hyperactive nervous system could potentially be resistant in my mind. I can't remember how the Shanti Virus transmits but that might be another out for some people. Also since it's classified as a virus it means it can mutate so that might also cause problems. What happens if the virus mutants and instead of inhibiting powers it fucks them up in some way or amplifies them. Major consequences. It doesn't seem like any of there powers would make them resistant but a few could ( ... )

I didn't feel like breaking the character limit here. So I posted my response to this in my journal. It's long and slightly ranty in the part about gov't knowledge, but I thought on it all a lot and read wiki pages and compared it to other comics and sci-fic logic.
