I found a podcast of the creative writing class in Warwick university. (Warwick. Gah! Have you ever heard anything quite as British? And they pronounce it war-ick. I could say that for days. War-ick war-ick war-ick war-ick!! War-ick war-ick?)
So sorry, got a little carried away there (go on, try it, it's fun!).
Anyway, I found that ( Read more... )

I adore you, you know that? I really do. You're like this tiny... tiny ~thing~ who's doing all these things and... Yeah.

Anyway, As soon as I read the first few words of your story I had the vivid images of these characters inside my head - And for me, that's a sign that I like what I'm reading. Even if I didn't Imagine them the way you did (Him: Bent, white of hair and beard, wearing red. Her: In a light blue-shawl, vivid green eyes, prideful and handsome).

Oh, and It's all right to "Get it wrong".
What If you mix periods? well, did you ever hear about Steampunk? Look it up. It's about a 18th century-like world in which steam-powered robots and machines roam about.
What if you get the blond-gene-thing wrong? Well, If it's easy for you to imagine a world in which dragons fly, what's wrong with a world in which being blond isn't recessive?)
(Why do I keep using "In which"?!)

Anyhow, I'd love to try that podcast thing myself. May I?

Oded.

P.s.
War-ick. War-ick. War-ICK. hm.

I don't believe I can cope with adoration just yet. You wait until I'm a world famous writer, and try that again.
I saw him more as wearing brown, and obviously the hair and beard are right. Very wrinkled and so thin that he's almost a skeleton.
I didn't imagine her quite as vividly, I'm afraid. I've no idea what she was wearing. But the eyes are right, and she's handsome, with long waves the color of corn.

And I know you're right, I'm just not like that and it'll take getting used to...
