My father died approximately 27 hours ago. We all saw it coming a mile off, he'd been going downhill since last Christmas, and on Monday the doctors had a talk with my mother in which it was decided that there was really no point trying to keep him alive any longer. Sure, they could have kept him going for a few more months, but he was in heart

When my sister died, I didn't cry for days. I think part of it was my not comprehending it. I knew she was dead, but it didn't make sense to me. The other part was my wanting to be strong for my family. When I finally did cry, I felt so much better afterwords. Not as much in control, but better.
I hope when it finally comes for you, that you feel better, too.
