My father died approximately 27 hours ago. We all saw it coming a mile off, he'd been going downhill since last Christmas, and on Monday the doctors had a talk with my mother in which it was decided that there was really no point trying to keep him alive any longer. Sure, they could have kept him going for a few more months, but he was in heart

dude im really sorry about that... same thing happened with me when my grandpa died... i dont know anything about your dad but he sounds like my grandpa... going above and beyond what he had to to be a good parent or whatever... and when he died i didnt feel anything for a week or so... then when it finally hit me that id never see him again... never talk to him and never get to say goodbye i couldnt walk for a few days.. i couldnt eat... i could barely drink water... that was... 7 years ago... i can still remember the smell of the flower that i put in his casket...
