So I'm asking for your opinion.

We are definitely calling her Phoenix Zariah or Zariah Phoenix.

We think Phoenix is funky and Zariah is really pretty. But we can't decide which was is best. Our surname is James.

Personally, I am glad I got a normal name like Tim. It seems like everyone tries so hard to impart themselves onto someone who is actually destined to be their own person :)

There's always nicknames too.
My daughter is Gabrielle. When I was naming her...I thought "what sounds good after Doctor...President...etc". Depending on who is talking to her, she goes by Gabby, Gabbers, Gabby K, Stinky, Weasel, Boopie, Beaner....and so on.

Hey I saw a girl on Wheel of Fortune the other night was named Kytlynn. That was special...haha

"Doctor Stinky Weasel Boopie Beaner" would be an awesome way to sign in to work each day.

Yeah, Nate is Bot (as in feeding bot, pooing bot), Destructobeast, Terminator, Bafanaels, Bafanzios, Bafs, Little Man - his father is the King of nick names.

I'm not a fan of either, but hey, not my bub!

I'd be worried about peoples first reaction with Zariah as it sounds very middle eastern and, well, you are living in redneck central... : p

Phoenix, people will just think you guys are hippies, ahahahaha

Unfortunately, I'm stuck on those two names for a girl.

and that is totally cool : )
I don't expect people to like the name we have picked (Cordelia) and I think I prefer that they don't like it, lol.

Out of the 2 names, I think she will get less hassle on Phoenix, and it has a nice symmetry with rising from the ashes etc.

Zariah seems to convey a feminine touch a bit better in my mind. That said, you will know the name that is best, you will make the right choice :)

I agree. Not like I don't have a bunch of time to make my mind up.

It sounds like you are meeting people that are going to help you get to the next step!! Two mums raising three kids could be a very awesome thing if you help eachother out, have some set rules etc... If she left her guy and went back to him, you might be stuck with all the bills though, or her drama coming to your place, which might be a bit of a risk. But having that help to actually get away is a good thing... she might be able to help look after the chirrenz and you can do the same for her etc. 10 year olds are pretty self sufficient, well, Jarrod's are!

Ex's mum though, sounds like a disaster! And three adult women in one house is too many. You know what I mean. *LOL* I live with ONE and thats enough to manage ;)
