most of the people i work with are gone to a conference in winnipeg, leaving me to fend for myself.  i like being alone but not crazy about being the filtered down contact to man the phones and email for all who are not here.  not crazy that i have to work part of friday or even thursday for that matter, c'est la vie.  just means i get a few days ( Read more... )

i totally want to nip this in the bud. i am quite sure he did some type of counselling last year to work on anger issues and i did see a marked improvement in his behavior. he now walks her home to the door, he will come in my home and look me in the eye and converse with me. so he is gaining ground and i will continue to support him and my daughter to work on healthy friendships and relationships.

thanks for the feedback and good luck with your move!

Since you're the mom and this is about the boy and not your kid I won't beat around the bush: Do some research on Dating Violence (abuse in youth relationships) - there are lots of sites/information etc. Here's somewhere to start: http://section15.gc.ca/eng/pi/fv-vf/dati-freq.html#head3. Jealousy can sometimes be a strategy used to establish power/control. Eg, crying, threatening to commit suicide, acting like he doesn't want to go to his practices could possibly be a form of emotional or psychological abuse by playing on her guilt, trying to get her to change her behavior. I'm not saying that jealousy is ALWAYS abuse, not by any means, but do do some research because some red flags go off for me here and hey, it *is* my field. :D
