See, but when Syd disappeared, Vaughn thought she was DEAD. Which is why he married the ice queen. After ...just meeting her. Because, there's nothing like a newly-dead OTP (Syd being the newly dead, here, before you get huffy) to really speed along your engagement.
Anyway, all I'm saying is: maybe you aren't giving Todd The Immortal Douchebag enough credit. Maybe he thought you were dead. Everyone's gotta move on sometime, right? (Wow, I can't believe I just said that.)
And I'm not just saying that because he paid me. Uh, gave me a ton of money.
I have no idea what you're talking about. Is that a television show?
Warren is much better at talking about TV than you are.
Buffy knows that Warren and Tucker were friends back in the day; she also pieced together that Warren has a boyfriend and that the Immortal spied on them. However, what she does not realize is that Tucker IS that boyfriend.
Connor saved my life and helped my friend out of a jam. You No, I won't bring up the prom dogs, because I AM trying to forgive people, that's the whole point haven't done anything for me.
Yeah. Alias. Backdated to when you might have last watched it. Which is, coincidentally, about the time it started jumping the shark.
...
Warren's much better at watching TV than I am. We all have our strong suits, don't we? I'm not the best spectator. I'm kind of more into the "doing" part.
And good for Connor. He's still trouble and wait a second -- why the fuck are you bringing *me* into this? Who said I was supposed to do something for you?
He's just like Warren with the word games, though. Every question and response feels like a potential trap. She breathes deeply.
Let me spell this out, then.
You want me to trust you when you say that Connor is bad news. But Connor has been a friend to me and helped me, while you haven't done anything. I'm not saying you're SUPPOSED to have done anything. For all I know you're a really great guy to count on in a jam. But I don't know that. I know Connor.
Is there any way of convincing you to talk with my mom Piper about this immortal guy?
She won't listen to anyone else. Maybe if she heard this from someone who actually knows what she is talking about, she'd wake up and get her head out of the clouds.
She's a little surprised, because she didn't assume Todd would be marrying anyone old enough to have a grown son.
*locked* I'm planning to meet her, and I'll give her an honest opinion. But. . .I can't promise I'll talk her out of it. I mean, I'm not even sure I should. He has a lot of positive qualities. Unless. . .

You mean besides ruining everything so that I might not even exist?
Yeah, we'll just skip over the whole "I'm from the future" speech. It's bad enough that he'd even mentioned he was Piper's son. Shouldn't be too hard for someone to figure out upon meeting Piper, and realizing she must have given birth when she was twelve or so in order for Chris to be hers.
Not directly, no. I know that I don't care for him. Then again, I don't actually care for anyone hitting on my mom save for my dad, and even then there are issues. And everyone I've spoken to has warned me about him. People I've met recently who I assume have had dealings with him before -- Tucker, Connor, Eve. Any of those ring a bell?
I just don't trust him. He seems like bad news to me.

Ummm. Yeah. Chris?
You know we used to date, right? And he's maybe not my favorite ex-boyfriend, but my impression of Tucker Wells isn't the greatest, either. I don't even know an Eve but -- with that name, we're supposed to think she's a good guy?
She glosses over Connor. She doesn't know what to make of him, yet; she wants to like him and she also wants to make that decision for herself.
Again, I can talk to your mom and see what the situation is, and give her an objective view of the guy. But honestly, he was a pretty damn good boyfriend in a lot of ways.

Connor, on the other hand: he's trouble.
