I was just flipping through channels and I eventually settled on Fuse, which is, if you don't know, a music video channel. A damn good one too. Anyway, they were going through a list of ten music videos, all of which that I saw had pointed messages such as Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" and Nas' "I Can". Ever since we read "death of a salesman" i've gotten the impression that i'm thinking of something completely different then everyone else when i think of "the american dream".

I like your concept of the American Dream, although, like I said when we were talking about this earlier, I think most people associate it strongly with the idea that anyone can "make it", regardless of class or status, in terms of job/money.

Yeah, Rage would have definately fit more now than during the Clinton years. Im suprised that a similar group hasnt formed, maybe there isnt really a need for such a band. I think the feeling is more universal in the music community whereas in the 90's the focus was elsewhere which created the need for a fist in the air kind of band. I dunno.
