Isn't parallel universes just a theory anyway? I'm not certain its ever gotten past base speculation as to their existence.

In any case, I'd just say that its a matter of faith. Believing in spite of doubt or apphrension is all that faith really is.

Yeah, they're just a theory to us... for now. I tried to make that clear by using "if" a lot in that paragraph. As in, "If parallel universes do exist..." String theory, that popular and possibly completely incorrect theory, supports the idea of parallel universes. Like I said above, I hope they don't exist. And I'm glad we don't know. Because if they do exist, I'd rather not know because the concept scares me.

That's a wonderfully succinct definition of faith. I like it. Faith's a hard thing to have, though.

"Faith's a hard thing to have, though."

I think that's what makes it stronger though. People seem to have a weird idea that if you have faith you never question or doubt, but I think thats the only reason you have it in the first place.

I could not agree more. To me, faith and courage are not unlike each other; courage is possessed by ordinary people who do extraordinary things, faith is possessed by ordinary people despite their hesitations.

My problem is not that I question God's existence, but I question the existence of my faith in God's existence, I just don't seem to know these days.
