National Candy Corn Day!

Today is National Candy Corn Day! Personally, I cannot stand the taste or texture of candy corn, but for those of you who do, do you prefer the original yellow, orange, and white variety or the ones with other colors such as brown, blue, red, etc.? If you enjoy this Halloween/fall confection that could likely be melted down and used as a fuel

I prefer the Indian Harvest Corn variety, and have never tried the other ‘new’ types offered. Sh-sh-sh-sugar shakes!

I actually had to look up the difference between "candy corn" and "harvest corn".

"A popular variation called 'harvest corn' adds cocoa powder; it features a chocolate brown wide end, orange center, and pointed white tip. It is often available around Thanksgiving. During the Halloween season, blackberry cobbler candy corn can be found in Eastern Canada, as well as candy corn shaped like pumpkins."

The older I get, the less sugar I want. My glucose was a bit elevated on my latest blood work. Regardless, I am enjoying some Snickers, KitKat Ghost Toast, and Reeses Pumpkins and Bats tonight! LOL!

Yum! I’m watching my sugar, as well. *sigh* We don’t have any candy in the house at all!

Indian Corn became Harvest corn, for political reasons. Same great taste, though!

Next year I'm not buying any candy for Halloween (or other holidays). I'm getting older and just don't enjoy it like I did in younger years.

I'll always remember "Cowboys and Indians" from childhood years, not "Cowboys and Indigenous People"!
