Oooo what an interesting look at the past! I really liked how you portrayed akira and how his feelings might be and Asami just ignoring them sigh.. poor Akira >_> but life is often like that.

hm, it's very well written, but it's funny that i can't decide if i like what Asamis last smile implies. Normally it doesn't bother me, but you portraid Akira so well that it does this time *hits head against table*
Or did i get it wrong and the smile means nothing important? (and do i still make sense?!)

No, you're right on about the smile. I went back and forth about including it, and I didn't really want to but it just seemed very right for this story. I liked how it added an extra layer that made the reader ask what was Asami actually doing here. And the implications aren't nice at all. (sorry)

This was...lovely. Thoughtful and well-written, I love the way you can make the characters feel so tangible and real.
