Well, as the title says, this week has seen me suceeding in many ways.

I am turning 40 soon, and decided whether I feel like it or not I am going to have a party.  I figure I will regret it later if I don't.  But have told DH that I will give him a list and that will be the total of my involvment in the ( Read more... )

I can't believe it, I have a dishwasher.  After 17 years of marriage, I finally have a dishwasher that I don't need to nag to do the dishes!! I negoiated a good price.  The original price was $699 for the dishwasher and $250 for the mobile pack so it can be wheeled to and from the sink. That made it $950.  The guy offered it to me for $850 for the ( Read more... )

  
I have decided to start writing a book for my children about myself, my childhood and that of my forebearers.  I am not going to leave it until later in life when I won't remember as much.  I am going to do it in the form of answering questions, so that my memory is jogged rather than just sitting down and writing in date form.  The questions I' ( Read more... )

Sorry  I have been away from the computer over the weekend.  For the past couple of days I have had the worst headache which multiple doses of  panadol didn't have any affect on, and any reading etc seemed to make it worse. The past couple of days have been a bit strained for me.  I have been overdoing things and it has all caught up with me.  I have been feeling tired and easily overwhelmed. Wednesday I went with DH to Cairns to have a mammogram.  Nothing serious found, so am pleased about that.  It was nice to have some time alone as well.  Today I have been to the second hand shop and picked up a nice black trouser suit and a straw hat for me, and a 'hippy' skirt for my girl.  All for $10.  Brilliant!!!I also went to the library and ( Read more... )

I can't believe it is Tuesday already.  Time is flying by so quickly, that Christmas will be here before you know it.  I have had a busy time of it over the past few days.  Friday was taken up by shopping and pain.

Hi All.  Life has been pretty uneventful here the past couple of days and today is shaping up to be the same.
