The day was going way too slowly for Donghae. He had slept through most of the lessons, despite Siwon's nagging on the Mandarin Chinese lesson. He had gotten hit by a notebook several time, always when their teacher had asked him something and Siwon had saved him by waking him up and whispering the answer into his ear. Donghae had to admit that his best friend was a real ninja and at the same time he was a guardian angel.
"Hae! Wake up for God's sake!" Siwon yelled and slammed his book onto Donghae's head, scaring the hell out of Donghae. He jerked his head up, looking like a kicked puppy, trying to register what was happening (including the drool on his own book).
The classroom was empty except for him and Siwon who was standing before his table, looking down at him with a little annoyed look in his eyes.
"You're gonna be late from the club." The taller male groaned and pointed to the big clock on the wall. Donghae glanced at it quickly but what he saw didn't register into his head until he moved his head back to his drooled book and he had to look at the clock again.
"Oh fuck! Why didn't you wake me up earlier?!" Donghae shouted aimlessly but he was furious to himself for not being awake when the lesson ended. He stuffed his book and notebook with all papers he had into his bag. Siwon just rolled his eyes and muddered something like 'It's not that easy wake you up...' and walked to the door, turning there to wait his friend. Donghae stormed out of the room without saying anything and accidentally pushed Siwon off the way. He heard the taller male cursing something but he only smiled and yelled byes to him as he was already running down the corridor.
He reached to his locker in no time, took out his spot bad and slammed the door shut. He was already in the half way of the corridor to the dancing club's room when he mentally slammed himself and cursed out loud as he turned back to where he had come, earning some questioning glances from students standing on his way. Of course he had forgotten to lock the door of his locker!
"Yah! Donghae!" He heard Leeteuk's familiar voice calling for him as he came back to his locker. The elder student was probably at his own locker a little further in the corridor.
"Hey, coming to dancing with me?" Leeteuk asked right next to Donghae. The latter had was a bit too busy to answer him right away since he found it really difficult to lock the door with a little trembling hands, but finally he managed to do it and turned to Leeteuk.
"Yeah. Are we late already?" He asked playfully and smirked. He knew damn well that Leeteuk was never late from anything. It was when he realized something what wasn't right. "Wait, how do you know I'm coming to the dance club?"
Leeteuk took aback for a moment, thinking what he could say to not to make Donghae pissed off. No one wanted to see angry Lee Donghae. "Eunhyuk kinda told me to take you there." He looked at Donghae with an apologizing look. "He said something about going through the choreography before others come..." He then added, more to himself that Donghae.
I seriously need to get used to that name. "You call him 'Eunhyuk' too?" Donghae asked before he even realized that he had said it out loud.
"Yeah." Leeteuk answered. He sounded a little surprised. "What? You don't call him that?" But the elder didn't leave there to hear if Donghae answered him or not and walked pass the younger. Donghae checked his locker for the last time, making sure it really was locked now, before he followed his hyung.
Leeteuk didn't say anything before they were standing behind the right door, where he turned to face Donghae and smiled. "I'm glad you decided to finally join to the club. I'm sure Hyukkie will accept you."
"I need to show my talents some day, so why wait any longer?" Donghae smirked. He didn't tell Leeteuk that it was actually Hyukjae and his comments of his dancing, which made him decide to join to the club.
The music was playing in the room so loudly that they could hear it clearly and it got only louder when Leeteuk gave him one last smile and opened the door, letting Donghae enter first. The younger bowed lightly -more of a habit because they were close friends and it didn't matter that much anymore. But as soon as he entered to the room, he literally froze. Only that he didn't feel cold but hot.
The scene in front of him was the cause of his sudden stopping. Lee Hyukjae was in front of the mirror on the back wall, wearing black wife-beater, loose, black pants and bright white shoes. And damn he was hot! His shirt showed out every muscle of his back, every single move he did. And he definitely knew how to move his body.
When Donghae looked at him he felt how something was wrong in that perfect scene before him. Hyukjae was like totally different person. He was confident, knew what he was doing, and seemed to know how fucking sexy he was. Totally unlike Donghae had seen him before.
As Donghae almost drooled after Hyukjae, Leeteuk was already making his way to the CD player, turning down the volume and clapping his hands, making Hyukjae stop his dancing and turning to him.
"Wow Hyukkie. You really made that whole choreography up in 15 minutes?" Leeteuk laughed and gave high-five to Hyukjae who was smiling and panting a little.
"Yap. During the lunch." He said. Only then he seemed to notice Donghae in the room and Donghae couldn't help himself from wondering where did all that confidence disappear when the dancer only smiled shyly to him. "The changing room is over there. Teukie hyung will show it." He gave Leeteuk a look and the elder only chuckled and walked to Donghae.
"Let's get changed." He said and leaded Donghae to the dressing room.
"Why I haven't seen him dancing?" Donghae asked as soon as they were out of Hyukjae's hearing distance. "Like in any of those little parties we've organized together? Why haven't you invited him?"
"I have. Many times. But he's a good boy, doesn't drink or stay up long, so he's always turned the invite down." Leeteuk said and tossed his spot bag to the bench.
"Oh..." Was all Donghae said and when he didn't figure out what to say anymore, he kept quiet and changed his clothes, putting on a wife-beater -like Hyukjae's but white- and black sweatpants. He checked himself from the mirror of the dressing room wall without even thinking why there was a mirror in the men's dressing room, before he went back to the dance room behind Leeteuk.
"Where are the others?" Donghae asked when he looked around. There were only they three and no one else.
"Jung Yunho and Lee Taemin will come a little late. They both had tests which they said are gonna take them a little longer than usually, and Jang Hyunseung is not coming today." Leeteuk answered. Donghae tried to remember who those guys were. He knew Yunho somehow since they were at the same age but Hyunseung and Taemin he didn't know.
"Do you know where Hyunjoong and Nickhun are?" Hyukjae asked while he stretched his muscles on the floor.
"They should be coming. Besides, it's not 2:30pm yet. They have 5 minutes to appear." Leeteuk laughed. And at the very same second he said it the door opened and two pretty good-looking guys walked in, chatting together and they didn't even notice the other three in the room.
It didn't take long before they were all five in the room, every one warming up on their own ways. The other from the guys, Donghae didn't know whether he was Nickhun or Hyunjoong, and Hyukjae were taking a little dance battle while the other was stretching his legs and talking with Leeteuk. Donghae was busy with watching Hyukjae. He just couldn't drag his eyes away from him, though Hyukjae moved a little differently now when he knew that he wasn't alone.
"Okay, should we start? Taemin and Yunho will come later if they will." Hyukjae said and wiped a little sweat trail away from his forehead. "Umm... well, this is Kim Hyunjoong" Hyukjae introduced the guy who had stretched his muscles while he had talked with Leeteuk. "And this is Nickhun." The one who had danced with him. He then turned to look at Donghae and... was he a little nervous as he introduced him to the others? "And this is Lee Donghae. He'll join us starting today."
Donghae smiled as Hyunjoong got up from the floor where he had sat and walked to him. He placed his hand over Donghae's shoulder and turned to look at Hyukjae. "We need a new choreography since we have a new comer." He grinned.
Nickhun and Leeteuk laughed and Hyukjae clearly couldn't bit back a smile. "I've done it already. But we kinda need pairs in there. I wanted to add some parts that are like battling." Hyukjae said. Leeteuk looked at him for a moment before he linked his arm around Nickhun's, saying that he'll be with him. Nickhun on the other hand looked at Hyunjoong with an apologetic smile on his face as Hyunjoong frowned that he'll be with Hyunseung when he comes back.
"I guess we're a pair then." Donghae chuckled to Hyukjae who's face started to get a little reddish -not because he had danced but because of how Donghae said what he had said.
"I'm sure Yunho and Taemin will get along well. So, what's the choreography?" Leeteuk asked. "Oh, and what's the song?"
Hyukjae let his gums show as he smiled and walked to the CD player and put on the
music. The energy rhythm filled the room and after a while they all were moving a little along with the music.
~~~
"Going home?" Hyukjae asked Donghae when they were in the dressing room, both almost ready to go. Donghae looked at his watch before he answered.
"Yeah. Mom hasn't come home yet and I need to make food for us." Donghae smiled gently.
"Oh... Okay. We'll see tomorrow? We need to decide when we're gonna do that project next time..." Eunhyuk said, letting his voice faid in the end of the sentence.
"Yeah. We'll see." Donghae answered with a smile. He packed his bag and took one last look around in the dressing room before he waved byes to everyone and left the dressing room.
~~~
They had been dancing for two and half hours and Donghae was exhausted as he walked down on the sideway. Eunhyuk had ordered him to dance in front of everyone before they started to practice the choreography and Donghae hadn't ever felt that nervous in his life. But it all had gone well and everybody had been amazed by his talent and shocked since he hadn't joined them earlier! They, mainly Hyunjoong and Nickhun, had almost yelled right to his face how stupid he was because he hadn't shown how good he was before now.
Taemin and Yunho had come about half an hour later than they had started the choreography. They had both been as amazed as the others when they had seen a new member of their club. Taemin had looked at him, his jaw close to the floor and then whined like a little kid because he couldn't be Donghae's partner. Even though Donghae usually couldn't stand people like him, whining and acting childishly, he couldn't help himself but found Taemin really cute. But when Leeteuk and Yunho both had rose their voices to Taemin, he had lowered his head and muddered something about how unfair they were and finally he had agreed to be Yunho's partner and they could keep on practicing the choreography.
And it wasn't easy, at all. Eunhyuk had made many slow moves between really quick ones and they needed to perfect their timings in many moves. But after all it wasn't impossible. They all were really good dancers, including Donghae himself, so it was only matter of time when they were ready with the whole choreography. He had been amazed how good Taemin was even though he was a lot younger than the others and how many different styles they all had, but still they looked so good together.
~~~
Donghae was almost at home when he finally let his thoughts go to Hyukjae, who he actually called Eunhyuk now. The guy was one big mystery to Donghae. Sometimes he was shy and blushing and at the next moment he was confident, God damn it, sexy and hot as hell.
