Title: Practice makes perfect, chapter 6
Paring: Haehyuk, (side Teukchul and Sibum in some chapters)
Rating: PG ~ NC-17
Summary: Donghae is one of the most popular guys in his school but his studies aren't going that well. He needs help with his the studies but all he wants to do is dance and sing. Eunhyuk on the other hand is not a popular kid and he's doing really well with his studies. What happens when the two of them suddenly have to study together?

<-- previous--

Donghae was walking home from school, Eunhyuk beside him. They had agreed that Eunhyuk would come to his place after school since he had his notes with him and he didn't have anything else to do. And neither did Donghae. He had only a few homework from the day, from Math and physics. He was secretly happy that Hyukjae was coming over. Now he could play his little game he decided to start yesterday, and Hyukjae could help him with his studies. He was so out of everything in those subjects that he'd soon get tutoring if he didn't lift his grades.

The day had been fun, sort of. Siwon had avoided him as much as he could because of their last phone conversation, if you can call it a conversation. Kibum on the other hand had smirked widely when he had walked pass Donghae in the corridor. Donghae didn't miss it even though he was with Leeteuk and Heechul at the time and they kept him busy by talking nonsenses.

Eunhyuk had come to talk to Donghae with Sungmin behind his back during the lunch. Donghae figured that Sungmin had ushered him to come to talk to him by both of their faces. Hyukjae had been that awkward yet smiling boy, not that hot and sexy dancer he had been in dance club. And Sungmin had only rolled his eyes when Eunhyuk had had a little troubles to form understandable sentences.

Now when they walked together, they both reminded quiet. Eunhyuk only looked at where he was going, keeping his head a little lowered and not saying anything, so Donghae thought it would be better to start his game when they got home.

"So here are all the notes I've written. And I took a paper where we can do it..." Eunhyuk said as he took his notebook from his school bag and gave it to Donghae, who stared at it like Hyukjae had gone crazy. It was overflowing because of all those small papers and other notes between its papers. "...here." Eunhyuk said and handed a big paper to Donghae, who was sitting on his chair while Eunhyuk was on his bed.

"You can't be serious that I must write all this?!" Donghae asked, still shocked as he looked at Eunhyuk, who had 'of-course-you're-going-to-write-that' -expression on his face. Donghae frowned.

"Hey! I did all the hard work! The only thing you need to do is write that to the paper." Eunhyuk said when he saw Donghae rolling his eyes. "You'd better to start writing... and don't forget to put this picture to it." Eunhyuk added and handed the picture his sister had drawn. It was cute and well drawn but wasn't it a bit too girly for their project? Donghae frowned again and turned his back to Eunhyuk and started writing.

Everything that Eunhyuk had wrote down were self-evidences but still Donghae was amazed by how the text seemed so... mature. There was nothing like he would have written, like jokes or poor drawings and stuff like that. But there was only clean catalogue and straight lines. Even Siwon seemed to be careless when Donghae looked at Eunhyuk's notes.

~~~
Donghae had wrote about half an hour when he had to pause if he didn't want his hand to get numb. He put his pencil to the desk and spun around to see what Eunhyuk was doing.
The male on his bed was reading a book on his lap. He lifted his head when he noticed that Donghae had stopped.
"What is it? Are you done already?" He asked, totally surprised. Donghae just looked at him, trying to decide what he was going to do next. Finally he shook his head, rejecting all the crazy ideas of jumping on him and stuff like that,  and answered.
"Not yet. I just need to rest my hand for a while."
"Oh..." Was all Eunhyuk said. A silence fell between them when Eunhyuk turned back to read his book, trying to avoid Donghae's look. But Donghae kept his eyes on him for a while more before he realized that he wasn't going to come up any good ideas how to start his game. The game he had been waiting to start every since Kibum burst out Eunhyuk's little secret.
But Eunhyuk seemed to make him a favor.
"Umm... Hae?"
Donghae's eyes snapped back to him. Hae? Did he really call me Hae???  "Yeah?"
"Have you..." Eunhyuk cleared his throat. "Have you ever done it?"
Donghae's eyes widened because of the huge surprise. How can a man be so cute and adorable while asking that kind of question?! But soon he covered his surprise with a smirk. This was his opportunity to start his game. He just hoped Eunhyuk would catch the bate.
"Done what?" He asked acting innocent, which he definitely was not.
"You know..."A light red line grew to Eunhyuk's cheeks as he looked at Donghae, begging him to understand what he was trying to ask. And hell yeah Donghae understood. Though he couldn't be wondering where the hell did that smart and mature high school student, who had written all those notes, had gone? Now he saw a shy and yet quite courage boy sitting on his bed, legs crossed and a book in his lap. Damn, it was quite hot sight.
"You mean..." Donghae started and got up from his chair. He walked slowly towards Eunhyuk, who looked at him with wide eyes. He looked like a lost puppy who had no idea what to do.
Donghae took the book from Eunhyuk's lap and let it drop to the floor, his eyes never leaving Eunhyuk's. The latter made a little move as a protest but was stopped by Donghae's gaze. He only looked at Donghae, definitely in lack of words and ideas what he should do and how he should react as Donghae got closer. And closer.
"...like..." Donghae whispered into Eunhyuk's ear. The warm breath made Eunhyuk shiver which almost made Donghae chuckle but he managed to keep himself cool. He did not want to spoil this now. But damn Eunhyuk made it hard for him. He was so adorable! Yesterday he had denied his crush on Donghae and still he hadn't pulled back.
"...this." Donghae moved his head so that their lips were almost touching. Why isn't he pulling back already? He could feel Eunhyuk's breath on his face and he could almost hear how fast the said boy's heart was beating. But he still didn't pull back and that was not what Donghae had planned! He wasn't going to kiss him in the first place! ...but now it was too late to pull back already.
He mentally cursed and leaned only a bit closer, waiting for Eunhyuk's reaction. And when the lightly older didn't move away, he closed the gap between their lips.
He was totally surprised how delicious Eunhyuk was. Like strawberries and milk. And how soft his lips were. It felt like he had kissed cat's fur. And the light smell of manly perfume floated into his nose, making his mind go blur.
Donghae moved his lips a little, testing if Eunhyuk had frozen or did he move his lips along with his. And once again he had to bite back his chuckle. Eunhyuk was as frozen as a human man can be. It only encouraged Donghae to slide his tongue against Eunhyuk's bottom lip, nipping it a little, teasing and asking for an access.
Eunhyuk gasped, only a little, when Donghae playfully bit down on his bottom lip. And Donghae didn't waste any second before he slide his tongue into Eunhyuk's wet cavern, searching every corner he reached, taking control of the kiss.
Eunhyuk seemed to recover from his shock a little when he started to move his tongue along with Donghae, challenging him a little, which surprised Donghae a little and made him loose the lead for a moment before he came back to battle. There was a little saliva on Eunhyuk's jaw when he gave up and let Donghae dominate the kiss.
The lack of air was what made Donghae to pull back. He felt light headed and was totally confused of Eunhyuk's reaction. He really kissed me back!? He looked at the male on his bed, who was red like tomato. It took all of Donghae's will-power to not to kiss him again, to press him into the mattresses and take off his clothes, kiss him like his life depended on it, stip off his clothes, kiss his body and...
WAIT A SECOND, LEE DONGHAE?! WHAT THE HELL did you think a moment ago?! Donghae almost slapped himself because of his imagination but was interrupted a sudden voice right behind the door of his room.
"Donghae, would you please come to the living room?" Donghae almost fell to the floor when his mom had almost caught them in the action. She wasn't even supposed to be home yet! She had told him that she'll come home around 6pm!
Donghae looked to his watch and cursed out loud. It was already 5.55pm. No wonder she was home already.
"I'll be there." He said with a little louder voice before he turned back to Eunhyuk, who was blushing madly. "I'll be back soon." He grinned and got up. He gave Eunhyuk one last look before he left the room, leaving the other sit on the bed looking so confused about everything. Donghae felt like he was a bit lost too. The kiss hadn't been what he had expected. Actually he hadn't expected the kiss at all. And then it had felt so good and he felt a bit bad that he was only playing with Eunhyuk...
He walked to the living room with a smug smile on his face but it was gone as soon as he took the first step into the room. His mom was sitting on the couch with a man. Donghae didn't know him, he had never even seen him. He was probably around his fifties and had pretty round face. He was wearing a black suit with a blue tie and didn't look too nice, which meant that Donghae didn't like him even though he hadn't said anything to him.
"Sit down, please." His mom said and motioned him to sit to one of the arm chairs in front of the couch.
Donghae looked at the man whole time when he walked to the chair and sat down. He really didn't like the man nor the atmosphere in the room. The tone in his mom's voice didn't promise anything good even though they had made up the last night's argument.
"So... This is my son, Donghae." She introduced Donghae to the man. He nodded to Donghae who only glared at him and didn't even nod back. His mom gave him disapproving look before she introduced the man to Donghae. "And this is Lee Soo man."
Donghae didn't make a move to greet the man. He knew he was being really rude but he didn't care.
"So the reason we wanted to talk to you..." Donghae flinched a little. We??? "...is that... Well... The reason why I was late last night was umm..." She struggled with her words and small blush was growing to her cheeks. The man, Lee Soo man, looked at her and took one of her hands into his own and finished her sentence:
"The reason was me."
Donghae's world crashed to the ground. She was with HIM?! She didn't pick up to my calls because of HIM?! She didn't tell me where she was because of HIM?! We had a fight because of HIM?! I had to fight with MY OWN MOM because of HIM?! And now she's telling me it was ALL because she was with HIM and she didn't tell it?!
He tried to bite back all his curses and bad thoughts of that gad damn man in front of him, next to his mom, holding his mom's hand and looking at his mom in the eyes. Donghae tried not to think about it. But without him even noticing his fingers curled into fists, his finger nails boring to his palms, as he tried not to jump onto the man. He had known that the way his mom had spoken and the way he felt about the man, before he had even spoken to him, hadn't promised anything good.
"You... were with him?" Donghae asked through his closed teeth. She only nodded, knowing that Donghae was furious because of the way he spoke. She had heard it before, though not often. They had had a few fights after Donghae's dad died but that time didn't take long.
Donghae sighed heavily, trying to hold himself from exploding. He seemed to notice it because he turned his head from her to Donghae.
"I'm sorry if I made you worried. Your mom has told me how good and caring son you are."
"You know nothing." Donghae hissed.
"Donghae, don't be rude." His mom said with a disapproving tone. Donghae moved his eyes from the man to the woman beside him. She looked at him worried look in her eyes and maybe it was apology at the same time but Donghae didn't care. He didn't know that woman anymore. Did she really think she could love someone else like she loved his dad?
"I'm sorry, Mrs. Lee but I think I need to go now." Donghae said coldly and rose from the chair. His mom tried to say something but Donghae was way too angry to even care. He just walked coldly pass her to his room and slammed the door shut right after him so harshly that a painting from the wall fell to the floor. A painting of their family.
