I believe we are within 60 days of recession bottom. I predict by third QTR our GDP will start heading in the viable direction.
I will not really have a sense of when the recession will be over till I see the new GDP patterns.
There are lots of boring number reasons, which are near and dear to my heart, that cause me to believe this.

I think Obama did it
When I personally put more money into Obama than any other politician in my lifetime it wasn’t because I identified so closely with him. I have said since the beginning he is far more conservative than I will ever be. Still, I happily drank the Obama Kool-Aid.
