RP Thread: To Hijikata.

There is rain. It's been raining for hours and it still hasn't shown any signs of stopping. The rain is fast, hard and freezing cold - so cold that all the piglets have stayed in the covered shelter of their pen without any prompting. Even Saizo is huddled up with them

There's blood on Hijikata's chin, and some near his ear, and his hands have scratches on them that are slowly trickling. His kimono is dirty. The rain hasn't changed any of this--one can only imagine what he looked like.

There's a disturbing gleam in his eyes as he walks through the gates and towards his room.

"Hijikata!" Souji leaps up as soon as he sees him coming through the gates. He stops when he sees how bloodstained Hijikata is, his mouth open in a slight 'o'. He doesn't even feel his clothes growing soaked and his hair flattening down with the rain.

Hijikata nods at him. "Souji." Upon closer inspection, the man looks exhausted, but he's not feeling it just yet. Once he gets inside, he probably will, but for now there's adrenaline coursing through him and he's on a high. He stops before the other man and looks at him.

Souji reaches up and wipes some of the blood off Hijikata's face. "Can I stay with you, or do you want to be alone?" The voice is small, nervous.
