There's a Souji in a bed. He's next to a sleeping Hijikata. He's judged the hour as being Too Early For Grumpy Hijikatas and is valiantly trying to resist waking him up. On the other hand, he's horny and wants to jump him. What is a little Souji to do?!

Souji tugs Hijikata along the street, grinning like it's his birthday. He's got Hijikata to allow him to visit all the chocolate and sweet shops, so for him, it probably is very close to the birthday experience. Souji rings the doorbell with his free hand. The other one is loaded down with a shopping bag filled with food. Someone apparently wants to impress someone else, possibly to keep proving that he can be like an adult, and has decided that a good way to go about that is to cook dinner.

Souji wanders around, carrying Saizo in his arms, waiting for Hijikata's return. All his hopes of returning to the Nexus with him had been dashed when Tetsu very politely (and nervously, it had to be admitted) had asked to train a little with him.
