Scary Movie time!

So I finally took my car in to the Jiffy Lube this morning, to get the oil changed.  And shocking shock, it is now no longer making that god-awful sound it's been making for the past week and a half.

Usually, I'm really good about getting the oil changed "every 3000 miles or 3 months, whatever comes first" but this time it was more like 3700 miles

Have you been driving your car to the ground? 3000 miles is on the low side of oil change mileage. (Yes, I know the sticker they put on the window tells you every 3000 miles) Unless you drive alot of miles on a regular basis, you should be able to last to at least 4000. I change mine every 5000 or so, but I do a 1000 mile drive every 6 months then 1 mile to the grocery store and back once a week. I've never had any weird oil change related issues (comments from mechanic, weird noises...)

Of course I also change my mascara only once a year (which bothers my mom alot), I'm kind of cheapity cheap.

I drove up here (about 650 miles) and then I put about 45 miles on my car everyday. And I could definitely hear and feel a difference in how my car handled before and after the oil change. So, at least for my car, I will be sticking w/ the every 3000 miles thing.

I had a coupon for $19.99 oil change at Jiffy Lube - one of the reasons I actually took care of my car. Hah. And only changing mascara once a year? Katy! Eww!!! haha

The only reason the oil got changed in my car is because I left for the weekend and I told chris if you dont change it I never will........I dont think you are lame People are way overrated :)

Don't worry, I'm lame too. And by lame I mean poor. I actually did psych myself up for going out last night. Told myself things like "when are you ever gonna get these years back?" and "you won't spend THAT much money". The first was mostly true, the second a blatant lie. I had a decent time, but just can't afford that shit.
