:(

What I hate about this season is that it makes comfort IMPOSSIBLE. I mean, I want to write about them realizing that they love each other and that life is good as long as they're together, but it's just not in character.

Still, I think you achieved a good balance in this--Dean's concern with his growing weariness, that slow, painful transition as he can no longer see Sam, but just his father. Which, I think is a telling thing, and a large reason why at times Dean can lack compassion for his brother.

And you do such a lovely little bit of limp in here, as well :)

AND you quote Jars of Clay FTW! \o/

Now I want to go listen to that CD very, very badly.

p.s. Remember when we were going to cowrite? I have no idea why I just thought of that, but I'm still game :)

I'd love to co-write a story! Thought maybe you'd forgotten. :) I just have to finish my silly BUABS fic that has turned into a monster.

Like Sam, apparently.

*sigh*

Aww, Sam's no monster. I'm very convinced of it. I've been miserable all season but I have inklings of hope now. Next week might destroy them, of course, but darn it, I want things to work out like I think they could :)

And I'm up for cowriting still--just say the word.

Gah. This was great. Horrible, wrenching, hurty. But great.

I've been mildly criticized for being too dark with my fic this year, and all I can say is - how can I write an S4 story and make it have a happy ending. 'Tis impossible. Oh, boys. I really hope they can make it through this and be even a fraction of who they once were, because right now they're both breakin' my heart.

I hear you. Honestly, I think this season has negatively impacted my writing. I'm finding it really hard to connect with the show when I really don't like what's happening to my favorite character on screen. I don't think it would even be so bad, except it's been going on FOREVER. I just want this whole "evil Sam" arc to be over.

I'm glad you liked this. It was tough to give the comfort I wanted yet still place the boys, especially Dean, where they needed to be for the final scene. Thanks for the feedback.

Ohmigod, this scene was obviously the one that ended up on the cutting room floor. Thank you for putting in some comfort where there was none. Just wonderful ~ as always.

Thank you. I had to do something. Show is absolutely killing me this season. I need my boys back together!
