Oh, boys.

Dean really is the best big brother ever. Sigh.

He is. I'd love to have a brother like Dean. *leers*

I mean that in a strictly fraternal way, of course. Thanks so much for the feedback.

Moving and some great insights into the boys. Some gorgeous writing esp:
And she still made "Dean" sound just like "I love you."

Thank you so much. This means a lot. I suffered through a three-month writer's block trying to finish this fic. It's really great to hear you liked it.

Bittersweet and yet still allows the boys their male dignity. And you made me think of how the shock of actually seeing their mom must have hit Sam. That's not something I see explored and certainly the show has not touched on it at all, but it had to be pretty freaky for Sam to finally have one memory of his mom that's truly his - and it's of her appearing to them, and then going up in flames. Ouch.

Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing! :-)
Cheers ~

Erin

It would be a shock, wouldn't it? To have only seen your mother in pictures, and suddenly she's standing there smiling at you. Looking alive, even if she wasn't. I'm sure it was a very bittersweet moment for Sam.

Thanks so much for your lovely feedback.
