Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork

Howdy, everyone, it's been awhile!

I wanted to share the super easy and tasty dinner I made the other day. Now, I am in love with pulled pork sandwiches but have only had them a few times because I'm afraid that they may take over my dreams, lol. I decided to try making them at home and was surprised at how extremely easy it was.

Huh, I've never made pulled pork before, largely because I don't super-like pre-made bbq sauce...I wonder if I could make this using my own...?

This recipe might appeal to you if you don't like BBQ sauce. I made it this past weekend and it shot to the top of my list of favorite, easy to make, foods.

pulled pork is my favorite thing ever. I love it with salsa verde instead of bbq though. How come you cook it in water first? I usually add a little apple cider vinegar to the pot, pouring it over the meat to kind of tenderize it. But what does water do? I might have to try it.

I cook it in the water so that it stays soft and doesn't develop any kind of crust, and also because a lot of the fat melts and when you drain the water you can just dump that out- makes the sandwich way less greasy.

I'm gonna try this I think. Normally, I just suck out some of the juice and then add the sauce but I've always used some kind of vinegar!

After watching Man v Food with pulled pork then seeing your recipe, last night I went out to grab some big pork joint. Today, i have pulled pork and it is YUM

Love this! When I make it, I'll add some BBQ sauce in with the water when I'm cooking it.

This is one of the reasons I love my slow cooker!!! <3

I've heard that if you add some cider vinegar and/or apple juice it works really well.

I think I saw that on Man Vs Food...

This is how I've always done it. I always used apple cider vinegar instead of water and then suck it out after a while. I was told it was a tenderizer. I want to try the water instead though, just because.
