I had a very good day today. A combination of sleep and caffeine made me feel particularly alert and alive. I tweaked out about Sapir-Whorf in seminar. I talked more than I ever have in Latin America section. Even in expos, I had all these things to say about irony. I like days like this. I am updating my lj.

I fucked up.

I just finished How To Do Things With Words by J.L. Austin. After over a hundred pages of complicated minutia, it all came together in the last two chapters (lectures). And it was awesome. And it might just be the effect of a small reward after prolonged pain, but feel like I have new insight on life.
