I'm like never on here, but I thought I'd look in today. It sounds like you have some very valid concerns. The push to "plan" a poly relationship can be tempting for some of us, especially if we feel more comfortable relating to people online where we can plan out our thoughts before saying them. This is exactly what happened when Rachel and I tried to get together with Keryn--we invited her into our relationship without ever socializing in person, and then when she came back to Evansville, that plan and the expectations just hung there and wouldn't go away. Of course there was more to it than that, but if we'd just let the relationship evolve naturally, things would at least have been less awkward. If you just want to have a sexual fling, and everyone is aware that those are the expectations, then planning it long-distance shouldn't hurt.
