As always, thoroughly useful advice from a man for whom the words "early adopter" seem woefully understated.

The really useful bit is missing though - which I hope is imminent - a detailed analysis of where we can still sell our used knickers.

That is at once the most brilliant and sexy thing I have heard all day. I had been trying to find something workable in the way of space for podcasting.

and just as I'd decided I wouldn't need to find my mic where ever the hell it is, since I hadn't a place to podcast from.

as soon as i figure out how to use 'frankenstein' (A.K.A. YAMAHA professional audio workstation) ill try uploading some of my stuff to entertain you.

also, for a while ive been looking into pirate radio (i know is sounds a little 'old school' but it basically caters to everyone. i mean, who doesnt have an AM/FM radio?). it seems like a good way to get out there. only difficult part of it is buying the transmitter. they get up there in price. had my eye on one i found in the RAMSEY catalog but the FCC put a stop to the 500 watt transmitter. so all thats left, that i can find, are the huge, practically imobile hunks of metal and tubes they stopped making in the 60s, cheaper now but still quite expensive, what with the professional revamping they go through. and with piracy, one really ought to have equpment that is either mobile or expendable.

thats more than enough said in a response im not even sure anyone will read.

Sure. But I'd have to be within, what, three miles of your microtransmitter?

Aye, but Mark Pesce talks, on that website there, about using internet streaming to fill in the holes. i doubt there would be any difficulty in finding someone that could set that up. everyone has resources.

ramsey sells small transmitters for about $40 each. anyone can buy one to start a network in their area or hook into one that has already been started in their area or hook the thing into the internet and take an existing stream off there. am i right?
