Since the likes of milescosm and baltimoron decided to turn the comments section of the last posting into a wankerfest, and I'm really not in the mood for retard farming, I have to choose between killing the comments section, or just not using this thing anymore. This shit is usually the tip of an oncoming iceberg (I ran a very large message board for five years,

As someone who reads or puzzles over your posts but does not comment, I would much rather you just disallow or freeze the comments (which can be done on a post by post or blanket basis) rather than be deprived of your work due to a few morons. I've always been surprised you were willing to allow comments - the other Names I've encountered on LJ don't.

The whole advantage of LJ is the "friends" page (I prefer the term "reading list") is one can get a digest of banal and profound blogs together rather than making the rounds which is irritating (and riskier if one is surfing at work). And it's great seeing a Bonafide Writer up there next to the posts moaning about vending machines at work and the new blogs analyzing Iraq. To me this is more valuable than being able to make a comment.

Anyway, really like the work and hope you stick around.

Arriving late in the game, as I am, I have to say this just blows. We can't escape the fucktard variety, it would seem. As above, I'd rather read your "musings" instead of seeing them gone altogether. Whatever you decide, know that it's entirely understandable.

You're kinder than most in just letting us have this sort of contact in the first place. Your presence has been appreciated Warren. What else can I say?
