I can think of a fuckload of bands worse than Franz Ferdinand. I think they're getting a lot of unnecessary hate just because you can hear them at Best Buy.

Because they're not that terrible. You're perfectly allowed to dislike them, but I think a lot of people here are just riding the backlash right now - back in March it was cool to like them, now it's cool to hate them. Anyway, there's no real point in arguing this here (isn't that what message boards are for?), but I thought someone should try and stem the tides...

It was never cool to like Franz Ferdinand, because they were never any fucking good. They were useful only for identifying the people whose brains have been colonised.

interestingly enough, I think the picture that pops up is the same one used in the icon as that one girl who was said to have hired two guys to whack her mom and then blandly wrote in her journal that she wouldn't be updating her journal for a little while because her mom was murdered and the police had taken her computer, but that she "should be back online by the weekend".
