Yeah, I know! I can't believe he even has a birthday!

Well...anyone who's been born would have one, yeah?

Yeah, but we're not born, exactly. And his government's so old he might not really have one.

He's gonna get drunk and cry no matter how many people show up, I reckon. [JUST MAKING AN ASSUMPTION FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE]

Yeah, probably. Unless some of those little kids he's friends with come, then there'd be a small chance that he wouldn't.

You're coming, right?

But that'd just make the party weird... Well, weirder than it's gonna be already.

'Course!

Yeah, I dunno. I'll just make them go home if he gets too creepy.

What're you getting him?

I do not think he has that many-- ... ah, but of course, it would be truly rude of me not to come... [ not to mention other things.... and he may be the absolute worst at social situations and can't really like them, but still, as far as he's concerned he can't afford not coming. ]

Yeah, you definitely have to come! And bring him a present!

A-a present! Of course- ...ah, I wonder what England-san would like...

Nothing in the world.

But he'll probably like stuff you give him! Oh, you have all that pervert stuff, he likes pervert stuff.

My, my... How very quaint.

Will there be dinner or snacks, or cake only? And what sort of presents are appropriate? I have never attended a country-person's birthday, you see.

[she isn't sure she wants to come, but she supposes England is a friend of hers, and she's curious about the function... but as always, if there's not enough food, it could be a problem]

I dunno...I guess there'll be cake, and he might try to cook, and you might have to eat that.

We're pretty much just normal people, presents wise, but England's not. Buy stuff that an old man would like, or stuff with fairies on it, I think.

Um...you know him?

Thank you for the advice.

Why... I suppose I would classify us as acquaintances, but he's been kind to me in the past. And his cooking is rather surprising!

[funny, she says that like it's a good thing]

Well, he'll probably be happy to see you there! If you ate his food and acted like it was okay, he probably really likes you.

( ( Ever since he woke up to find a new wife, Spain has been curious about what happened to his last one. He decides to see if she's at work. When he finds America at the bakery instead, he can't help himself! He gives the other nation a kick to the back of the knees. ) )

How did you know?
